I’m THAT person.

For the majority of my adult life I’ve enjoyed being in a gym on a regular basis. In 2020 big things changed in the world, and for a time my normal gym time was not an option. I opted for walking outside, as did many of you. Other things changed for me too and when the gyms opened back up I struggled going back for various reasons. So I didn’t go back. Ever. I even cancelled my membership.

Over the last several years I’ve maintained my daily walks, and have added mountain biking and occasional workouts at home. I just haven’t been consistent. I have a million excuses because I have enough resources to workout at home. I just wasn’t doing it. Plus there’s always a labradoodle that wants my attention at home.

So, I decided to go back to the gym. And I signed up on January 2nd. I’m THAT person. The person that joins the gym and makes it crowded for the regulars. But I don’t care. I walked in and instantly knew I needed to be there. It was like coming home.

I even committed to some training, so they will give me a workout plan and even a nutritional plan to get me going. Since I’ve been out of it for several years, it will be nice to ease back into the rhythm of the gym life.

Whatever it is you might be wanting to do, change, or add to your life - go and DO it! Even if it’s just a few minutes a day to start. Be open to what is speaking to you. Even if it’s a little scary. You’ve got this. I believe in YOU.
